Springfields is in Waterhead, Oldham. The home provides personal care and accommodation for up to 24 older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and those living with enduring mental health conditions. There were 13 people living at Springfields at the time of our inspection.

We found the following examples of good practice.
The service had a robust procedure for people to follow when they entered the building. This helped to minimise the risk of introducing COVID-19 into the home.
Staff had received recent training in infection prevention and control, hand washing and how to put on and take off their personal protective equipment (PPE) in a safe way.
Staff and residents were tested for COVID-19 in line with current guidance.
The home was clean. Additional cleaning was carried out of high touch areas, such as door handles.
Visits to the home were restricted in line with local guidance. Staff helped people to stay in contact with their relatives and friends through telephone and video calls.
