What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 3 March 2026 (assessment visit 21 October 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Date of Assessment: 13 November to 19 December 2025. The service is a residential home providing support to adults of all ages living with learning and physical disabilities. This assessment was carried out because of the rating and breach of legal regulation found at our previous visit. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

Medicines were not managed safely. This was an issue at our previous assessment of the service. The provider’s governance systems and learning culture had not identified or addressed ongoing issues with medicines management. The provider remained in breach of legal regulations in relation to unsafe medicines management and governance.

Staffing levels were monitored and staff were safely recruited. Risks to people were assessed and addressed, though there were ongoing issues in relation to medicines management. People were safeguarded from abuse. The provider had effective infection prevention and control systems in place.

People and those close to them were involved in assessments of their needs. People had enough to eat and drink to stay healthy. Staff supported people to access healthcare services to monitor and promote their health and wellbeing. People were supported to make decisions and give informed consent. Staff involved those important to people to take decisions in people’s best interests where they did not have capacity.

People were treated kindly by staff who knew them well. Staff protected people’s privacy and dignity and treated them as individuals. The provider supported staff wellbeing, and staff told us they were happy working at the service.

Staff provided information people could understand, though in some cases support plans did not record how this was being done. People and those close to them were encouraged to share their views with the service. Staff involved people and those close to them in planning their care and understanding their options around choosing to withdraw or not receive care.

Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive and helped staff develop in their roles. Feedback was sought from people, those close to them and staff and was acted on. Staff worked effectively with healthcare partners to ensure people received the support they wanted and needed.
