What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 20 October 2025 (assessment visit 8 September 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Date of Assessment: 8 September 2025 – 24 September 2025. 3 inspectors carried out a site visit to home on 10 September 2025. At the time of our visit 64 people were living at the home. This assessment was prompted by a safeguarding event at the home. The Local Authority took the lead in investigating this concern. We looked at the key questions of safe and well-led to check that recommendations and learning had been embedded. We found appropriate action had been taken. The provider had a good learning culture where people and staff felt confident in raising concerns. People were protected and kept safe from harm or abuse. Staff were recruited safely and there were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Managers made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to carry out their role effectively. Staff worked with other agencies involved in people’s care to achieve the best outcomes for people and smooth transitions when moving between services. Leaders and staff had a shared vision and culture based on listening, learning and trust. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities and felt supported in their role. There were audits and checks which were effective in identifying shortfalls and driving improvements.
