About the service

From the Care Quality Commission's inspection report published 13 August 2022. Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Read the rest of CQC's summary

Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.

What inspectors found

The systems and records in place needed to be developed further and formalised to ensure they demonstrated how the quality of the service was monitored.

Read the rest of CQC's summary

People were supported by staff that understood their individual needs and had been trained and understood how to protect people from abuse. People received their medicines by trained staff and when they needed them. Systems were in place to reduce the risk of infection. People received a consistent and reliable service from staff who were described as kind, friendly, and caring. Staff felt supported and had access to information to guide them in their role. Relatives told us they were happy with the service provided, and they knew who to contact if they had any concerns. Feedback was actively sought about the quality of the care being provided.

People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.
