What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 3 July 2026 (assessment visit 9 June 2026). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Tipson Healthcare is registered as a domiciliary care agency to provide personal care to adults over 65 and adults under 65, people with mental health needs, physical disabilities, dementia, learning disabilities and sensory impairments. We inspected the service because it had not previously been inspected. At the time of this inspection, the provider was delivering regulated activity to 1 person. We considered whether care was delivered in line with the principles of Right support, right care, right culture, we looked at whether people were supported to have choice, control, independence, meaningful activity, community inclusion and a good quality of life. However, at the time of inspection the service was not supporting anyone with learning disabilities and or autistic people.
The person received safe, person-centred care. Staff knew the person well and understood their needs, preferences, routines and risks. Staff supported the person to remain involved in decisions about their care and promoted their dignity, independence and wellbeing.
The provider had systems to monitor safety and quality. Leaders reviewed risks, care records, staff practice and feedback to identify where improvements were needed. Safeguarding arrangements were clear, and staff understood how to identify and escalate concerns. Staff felt able to speak up and leaders used feedback and learning to improve practice.
Staff delivered care in line with the person’s assessed needs and relevant guidance. Staff received training, supervision and support to carry out their roles. The provider worked with the person, their relative, a live-in carer and other agencies where needed to ensure care remained coordinated and responsive to changes.
The service was well-led. Leaders promoted an open and inclusive culture and maintained oversight of the small service. Governance systems supported safe care, learning and improvement. There were no breaches of regulation identified at this assessment.
