What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 25 June 2025 (assessment visit 11 March 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Date of assessment 13 May to 16 May 2025.
Leofric Lodge is a ‘housing with care’ scheme registered to provide personal care to people who live in their own flats and have tenancy agreements with Anchor Trust. At the time of our inspection 43 people lived at Leofric Lodge, 29 of whom received support with personal care. CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.

The last rating for this service was good (report published 08 September 2017). We undertook this inspection to review the quality of the service and to ensure it met regulations.
Quality and monitoring systems were in place to monitor the safety and quality of the service. However, effective managerial oversight needed to be consistently maintained to ensure areas for improvement were always identified and acted on, in a timely way. For example, care plan audits had not identified the conflicting information recorded in a care plan.
Risks associated with people’s care were assessed and staff understood their responsibilities to keep people safe. Staff supported people in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests. The staff worked in partnership with other professionals to achieve good outcomes for people. Staff were recruited safely, and medicines were administered as prescribed, by staff trained in medicines management. Staff felt valued and supported by the management team and enjoyed working for the provider.
