The assessment was triggered due to some concerns received around the management of medicines and to follow up breaches of regulations at the previous inspection. The assessment commenced on 14 July 2025 and concluded on 22 July 2025. The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation in relation to medicines management, consent to care, management of risk and governance of the service. At this inspection improvements had been made, and the service was no longer in breach of those regulations.
At this inspection the provider was in breach of the legal regulation relating to the inadequate provision of fire safety equipment and emergency escape routes.
We gathered information from people who used the service, relatives, the registered manager, care staff and health and social care partners.
People received medicines appropriately. Medicines care plans were completed and person-centred however, some further detail could be added to make them more personalised.
Risk assessments and consent documentation were in place and staff knew what process to follow with obtaining consent and managing risk within the home.
The registered manager had implemented changes to the governance systems, so they had oversight of the service. The management team worked well with healthcare partners and safeguarding concerns were managed effectively.
Staff said managers were approachable, supportive and listened to them. Managers worked closely with colleagues and people who used the service to ensure care standards met desired expectations.
