What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 10 October 2025 (assessment visit 11 July 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Date of assessment: 24 July to 21 August 2025. Brookfield Care Home is a residential service providing care and support for up to 45 older people, including people living with dementia. We assessed the service due to the length of time since our last assessment. Risks to people’s health, safety and wellbeing were not always assessed and regularly reviewed. There were shortfalls in how some prescribed medicines were managed. Whilst some audits were effective, governance arrangements and staff record keeping had not always identified and acted upon the shortfalls, which meant lessons were not always learned to improve people’s care. The overall rating at this assessment has changed from good to requires improvement. We identified 2 breaches of regulation relating to safe care and treatment and good governance.
