People were safe and protected from avoidable harm however, improvements were needed in auditing and in ensuring policies and procedures were followed. The service did not have consistent systems in place to monitor safety and quality. Systems for reviewing incidents and preventing them from recurring were not fully effective, and learning was not always embedded. However, people were involved in assessments of their needs, had enough to eat and drink, and were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff spoke positively about the support they received from the registered manager and management team.
