Appropriate infection prevention and control measures were in place to help protect people from the risk of infection and cross contamination. The environment was clean, free from malodours and well maintained.

The management team showed a strong commitment to meeting people’s needs and encouraging their involvement in decisions about their care and the running of the service. There was a positive and open culture where people felt able to express their views. The provider had effective quality assurance systems in place to monitor the service and ensure oversight of care delivery. These systems supported the delivery of high quality and sustainable care by identifying risks, monitoring performance and responding to feedback.

The provider worked collaboratively with other services and professionals to ensure people received coordinated care. They encouraged innovative and inclusive approaches to support equality of experience, positive outcomes and an improved quality of life for people using the service.
