What inspectors found
We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. 'Right support, right care, right culture' is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it.

At the time of the inspection, the location did not care or support for anyone with a learning disability or an autistic person. However, we assessed the care provision under Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture, as it is registered as a specialist service for this population group.
Right Support: Improvements were required to assess people's mental capacity, supporting decision-making and best interest decision-making. We have made a recommendation about this. Staff supported people to take part in social activities. People benefitted from an environment that met their needs. Staff communicated with people in ways that met their needs. Staff supported people with their medicines in a way that promoted their health outcomes.
Right Care: Information about risks for people using the service were not routinely identified but there was nothing to suggest the lack of information impacted on the delivery of care provided. People had a care and support plan. Staff understood how to protect people from abuse and harm. Staff had received training on how to recognise and report abuse. There were enough appropriately skilled and competent staff to meet people's needs. People received kind and compassionate care. Staff protected and respected people's privacy and dignity. They understood and responded to their individual needs. People were protected by the service's infection, prevention, and control of infection arrangements.
Right Culture: Governance processes were generally effective, but improvements were required to ensure shortfalls were identified and addressed at the earliest opportunity. The registered manager had the skills, knowledge, and experience to perform their role. Staff gave honest information and suitable support, and applied duty of candour where appropriate. Feedback and complaints were dealt with in an open, transparent, and timely way. The provider sought feedback from people, those important to them, staff and professionals and used
the feedback to develop the service.
