What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 25 June 2026 (assessment visit 27 February 2026). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Date of Assessment: 21 April 2026 to 1 May 2026. Outram Fields is a care home providing personal care to people, some of whom were living with dementia. The service is registered to support up to 81 people and was supporting 53 people at the time of the assessment. This was the first assessment of this service which registered with CQC February 2024 . At this assessment, the service has been rated good.
The service supported people safely. Staff understood how to identify and address safeguarding issues should these arise. Staff were recruited safely and received appropriate training to support them to complete their roles. Feedback from people, relatives and staff was mixed in regarding to if the service had a sufficient number of support staff. People at the service told us more staff were required. Inspectors did not find evidence of a negative impact on people due to staffing numbers. Medicines were managed safely and accurate records kept.
Staff were kind and caring to the people they supported and knew people well. Care was person-centred and managers and staff worked together well. Feedback from professionals was positive, professionals told us the service was easy to contact and staff followed their advice.
People had access to entertainment and activities at the service and could choose which activities to partake in. The service also had access to their own minibus and regular outings were arranged.
The registered manager ensured governance systems were effective within the organisation and demonstrated a commitment to continual service improvement. Feedback from people, relatives and staff was actively sought and acted upon.
