Two inspectors and an Expert by Experience carried out an unannounced visit to the service on 26 August 2026. We carried out further unannounced visits on 28 August and 8 September 2026.

We assessed all 33 quality statements across the 5 key questions. This was the first assessment of the service since it registered as a partnership on 30 September 2024.

Although we found areas of good practice, we also identified areas where improvements were needed. The service is rated requires improvement overall. We found 2 breaches of the legal regulations relating to safe care and treatment and good governance.

People and relatives were generally positive about the caring and committed staff team. The service benefited from a stable and long-serving workforce, and people had established relationships with staff who knew them well.

However, risks associated with the environment had not always been effectively identified, assessed or managed. There were concerns relating to fire safety, infection prevention and control, medicines management, care records and pressure care monitoring. The provider's environmental monitoring had not identified other potential risks, including the appropriate use of window restrictors and the stability of large items of furniture. The provider's systems for governance and oversight had not been sufficiently effective in identifying and addressing these concerns.

The provider responded to concerns raised during the assessment and took action to make some immediate improvements, including work to address fire safety concerns. The provider also developed action plans following external scrutiny. However, some required actions had not been fully completed or embedded into practice at the time of our assessment. Further improvement was needed to ensure risks were consistently identified and managed and to demonstrate that improvements could be sustained.
