What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 27 March 2026 (assessment visit 6 November 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Date of assessment: 1 December to 18 December 2025. Lark View Care Home is a residential home providing personal and nursing care to older people, some of whom may be living with dementia. The service was newly registered and had not been assessed previously. At this assessment, we identified 3 breaches of regulation, including safe care, governance and staff recruitment. The systems in place to manage medicines safely were not effective. Some people did not have enough tablets available and had missed doses of essential medicines. Potential risks to people’s health and welfare had not always been assessed, and staff did not have detailed guidance to support people. Staff had not always been recruited safely, and references from previous employers had not always been obtained. A service improvement plan was in place, but it did not address all the shortfalls identified during this assessment.
