Every item delivered to the service such as post, food deliveries and family parcels were placed in an outside 'delivery' area to undergo a full decontamination process before any items enters the premises.

All staff had access to a secure outdoor building to leave personal items such as shoes and coats. Therefore, reducing the risk of cross contaminations into the building.

Staff personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms were supplied and cleaned daily by the provider these uniforms included items such as, a full body cover suite (if ever required), face coverings, glasses and daily hand sanitisers which was refilled by the providers.

Cleaning schedules had been doubled since the start of the pandemic, to ensure all high touch areas were cleaned and full deep cleans happened regularly.

The provider purchased a vast amount of PPE to ensure staff would always be protected, whilst also identifying extra items such as multiple air purifiers for dining and lounge areas, air circulating fans for people's rooms and hands-free thermometers for staff.

Two garden pods had been designed and built during lockdown, each had a warm and welcoming ambience with heating, whilst also having the appropriate risk assessments and policies in place to enable people to be visited by their relatives and friends..
