What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's inspection report published 5 April 2022. Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Beulah Lodge is a care home for up to five people with learning disabilities, some of whom had additional needs such as autism. There were five people living at the service at the time of our inspection.
We found the following examples of good practice All staff had been trained in infection prevention and control in relation to COVID-19 infections. The provider tested all staff and residents for COVID-19 infections in accordance with government guidance and all staff and people using the service had been vaccinated against this infection. Staff received the support they needed to meet people's needs through training and regular supervision. The provider had assessed infection risks to people and staff at higher risk of COVID-19 due to being part of certain ethnic groups, having certain health conditions and also learning disabilities.

The registered manager told us they would improve immediately and sent us evidence of this after the inspection. The provider's infection prevention and control policy required updating to ensure it was in line with government guidance in relation to visitors.
