Significant improvements had been made within the service. A new manager had been recruited, and it was clear that the provider and manager had worked extremely hard to address the shortfalls found at the last assessment. Systems and process were now fully in place and followed to manage the quality of the service. There were still some areas that required addressing and these were clearly recorded within the services action plan. The provider and manager understood that time was needed to fully embed the changes made and were confident within their staff team that improvements made would continue and be sustained.
Staff, people and their relatives felt staffing levels were adequate, however further improvements were required around the deployment of staff and staff training and support.
Risks to people were now fully assessed and records contained personalised, detailed information relating to their health and wellbeing.
Staff had completed up to date fire drills and were confident in the action to take in the event of a fire.
Everyone we spoke with during the assessment felt that there had been major improvements at the service and expressed that this was down to the newly recruited manager. The manager was passionate about the service continuing on their improvement journey and had many ideas and ambitions to further support the service to improve.
This service has been in Special Measures since 12 May 2025. During this inspection the provider demonstrated that improvements have been made. The service is no longer rated as inadequate overall or in any of the key questions. Therefore, this service is no longer in Special Measures.
