We assessed 33 quality statements from the key questions of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. The overall rating is good.
People were provided with safe care and treatment. Risks to people were identified and monitored appropriately. However, some people’s care records required further guidance for staff on how to manage risks. Processes to analyse safety events were in place, meaning correct action taken to prevent further occurrences could be identified and actioned.
Although we were assured people received the care and support, they needed at the right time, some care monitoring records were not always completed appropriately. Medicines were managed safely and people received their medicines as and when they should.
Safety checks were in place to help ensure people lived in a safe and hygienic environment. The provider’s governance systems and processes helped to identify and remedy any shortfalls in practice. There were a wide range of meaningful activities for people which had a positive impact on their well-being. People’s relatives and significant others were made to feel welcome and able to visit without restriction.
