There was a good stock of the right PPE and staff used and disposed of it correctly. Social distancing and shielding rules were complied with. Adaptations were made to the environment to help support social distancing. There were designated suites within the service to accommodate people who test positive for COVID-19 or for those showing symptoms. Staff had completed infection prevention and control (IPC) training and underwent regular competency checks to ensure they knew how to keep people and themselves safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Staff were provided with daily updates about current IPC guidance. Regular testing was accessed for people using the service and staff. Safe procedures were followed for admitting people into the service.
