What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 3 September 2026 (assessment visit 19 May 2026). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Date of assessment: 26 May – 07 August 2026. Treasuring Care is a domiciliary care service providing person-centred support to people in their own homes. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

At the time of our assessment, the service was supporting 1 person and was not supporting anyone with learning disabilities or autistic people. The person’s relative told us they felt safe and well cared for. They said they were happy with the care provided, felt their family member was safe, and described the registered manager as responsive and accommodating to changes in support.

Systems were in place to help keep people safe. The provider had policies and procedures covering safeguarding, whistleblowing, accidents and incidents, infection prevention and control, medicines and consent. Risks to people’s health and wellbeing were assessed, with clear care plans and risk assessments in place to guide staff. Although there had been no accidents, incidents or safeguarding events since the service opened, the provider had appropriate reporting processes and documentation available to support safe practice as the service develops. The registered manager had training in place, but could not fully demonstrate up to date training in moving and handling people.

The person received care that was tailored to their individual needs, preferences and beliefs. The registered manager described how care was planned around what mattered to the person, including supporting religious beliefs, promoting independence and involving people and their families in decisions about care. The person was encouraged to maintain choice, control and independence, and information could be provided in different formats if required. Feedback arrangements were in place, and positive feedback had been received about the service.

The provider demonstrated a clear vision, values and culture based on kindness, compassion and person-centred care. The registered manager showed a good understanding of how to work with families and other professionals to support continuity of care and positive outcomes. Governance arrangements, policies and monitoring systems were established, and the provider had processes in place to support learning and improvement as the service grew.
