People were protected from avoidable harm and risks were well managed through clear processes, effective staffing and strong partnership working. Staff understood safeguarding responsibilities, managed medicines safely and followed robust infection prevention and control processes. Systems were in place to identify, review and learn from incidents, supporting continuous improvements in safety.

People received effective care that achieved positive outcomes and supported a good quality of life. Assessments were person-centred and regularly reviewed, with care delivered in line with current legislation and recognised good practice. Staff worked collaboratively with health and social care professionals to ensure joined-up care, including timely referrals and the integration of specialist guidance into care delivery. People were supported to maintain their health, wellbeing and independence through personalised care planning and ongoing monitoring.

Staff treated people with dignity and respect and took time to understand their individual needs, preferences and communication requirements. Care was tailored to reflect people’s backgrounds and choices, and reasonable adjustments were made to ensure equitable access and positive experiences. Systems were in place to gather and respond to feedback, and improvements had been made where concerns were identified, including enhancing continuity of care through better scheduling arrangements.

The service was well-led, with a clear vision and values that were embedded across all levels of the organisation. Leaders had effective oversight through established governance and quality assurance systems, enabling them to monitor performance and address issues promptly. There was a positive and inclusive culture which supported staff wellbeing, encouraged openness and promoted continuous learning. One staff member said, “It's one of the best companies I've ever worked for.” Partnership working and community engagement further strengthened outcomes for people, ensuring care was coordinated and responsive to changing needs.
