People were involved in decisions about their care and support, with regular reviews used to gather feedback and make improvements. The provider had systems to provide information in accessible formats and adapt communication to individual needs.
The service was supported by effective governance and quality assurance systems. Leaders monitored incidents, safeguarding matters, complaints, medicines, audits and quality reviews to identify trends, share learning and drive improvement. Where concerns arose, records demonstrated appropriate action, professional involvement and follow-up. Although there was no registered manager in post, arrangements were in place to support the care manager to progress into the role and leadership oversight remained effective.
