What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 19 July 2024 (assessment visit 1 May 2024). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
At Home Support Services Ltd is a domiciliary care provider supporting people in their own homes. Not everyone using the service receives a regulated activity; CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with 'personal care'; help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also take into account any wider social care provided. At the time of the inspection the service was supporting 25 people.

We looked at the following quality statements; learning culture, safeguarding, involving people to manage risks, safe and effective staffing, infection prevention and control, medicines optimisation, capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders, freedom to speak up, governance and assurance, partnerships and communities and learning, improvement and innovation. We did not assess all quality statements at this inspection. For those areas we did not assess, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating. We did not identify breaches of any Regulations during this assessment. We will continue to monitor information we receive about the service, which will help inform when we next assess them.

Systems were in place to protect people from the risk of abuse and harm. People's support needs were risk assessed and care plans provided staff with the information they needed to manage the identified risk. Staff had regular training opportunities and training specific to people's individual needs was provided. People received their medicines as prescribed. Infection control policies and procedures were in place to keep people safe. The provider recruited staff safely. We made a recommendation about monitoring staff deployment.
