What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 9 July 2025 (assessment visit 19 May 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

This service provides care and support to people living in 8 ‘supported living’ settings, so that they can live as independently as possible. People’s care and housing are provided under separate contractual agreements. CQC does not regulate premises used for supported living; this assessment looked at people’s personal care and support. At the time of our assessment, 32 people were using the service and 26 people were being supported with personal care.

The assessment started on 19 June 2025 and ended on 27 June 2025.

We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it.

We found the provider was meeting the principles of Right support, right care, right culture. For example, staff supported people to develop their own objectives, to learn new skills and work towards greater independence. Staff supported people to overcome barriers so they could access services in the community. Staff supported people to develop and maintain positive relationships with others.

People were cared for in a safe way. People were supported to take risks, to understand about these and to make informed choices about risk taking. People received their medicines safely and as prescribed. People lived in safe and clean environments. There were systems to investigate and learn from accidents, incidents and safeguarding concerns.

Staff assessed people’s needs and preferences. People were involved in developing and reviewing care plans. They were supported to set their own objectives. Staff monitored these and helped people to set new goals when needed. People were supported to stay healthy and to access external healthcare services.

Staff were kind and caring. People had good relationships with each other and staff. People were supported to take part in a range of activities in their own homes and in the community. People received personalised care which met their needs and reflected their preferences. People’s human rights were respected.

The service was well managed. Staff understood the values of the organisation and there was positive culture. Staff felt supported. They had access to a wide range of training. Staff worked well together and with others to understand about best practice. There were effective systems for monitoring and improving the quality of the service. These included asking people using the service and other stakeholders for feedback.
