Dawn to Dusk Care Services Limited is a domiciliary care service, providing care and support for people living in their own homes. At the time of our assessment the service was supporting 7 people with personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.

We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. At the time of the assessment, the service was not supporting any autistic people or people with a learning disability, but the provider had regard to ‘Right support, right care, right culture’.

People received high-quality, safe and highly personalised care from staff who knew them exceptionally well. Staffing arrangements provided excellent continuity, with staff carefully matched to people and visits organised so care was reliable, consistent and unhurried.

The service had an exceptional culture of kindness, compassion and respect. Staff developed meaningful, trusting relationships and routinely went above and beyond to improve people’s wellbeing. People’s individuality, choices and preferred routines shaped their care, and staff supported people to remain as independent and in control of their lives as possible.

Staff responded exceptionally well when people’s circumstances changed, adapting support quickly and flexibly. People and relatives described genuine, reliable care and had high levels of confidence in the service.

Leadership was exceptional and distinctive. The provider promoted a strong, inclusive and person-centred culture where staff felt valued, supported and empowered. Flexible working, individualised staff support and a commitment to equality contributed to a stable and motivated workforce.

Effective governance, partnership working and continuous learning supported consistently high-quality care. Feedback was actively used to improve the service, and staff accessed specialist training to meet changing and complex needs. This enabled people to remain safely at home, including through significant changes in their health and at the end of life.
