People's experience of the service and what we found We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. 'Right support, right care, right culture' is the guidance CQC follows to make assessment and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it.

Right Support People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice. We made a recommendation about the provider strengthening audits specifically relating to medicines and follows best practice for medicines. People were fully involved in managing personal risks and in taking decisions about how to keep safe. Staff were skilled in recognising signs when people experienced emotional distress and knew how to support people to keep them safe.

Right Care Care was person-centred and promoted people's dignity, privacy and human rights. People had full access to healthcare services.

Right Culture The provider promoted a culture of inclusion, diversity, and equality. People were supported to express their individuality. The ethos, values, attitudes and behaviours of managers and support staff ensured people using services lead inclusive and empowered lives. Staff placed people at the heart of everything they did.
