We found the following examples of good practice.
●All staff and visitors to the service had their temperature taken on arrival and were provided with Personal Protective Equipment to wear. ● A visiting pod was in place, which was accessible through the garden and could only be used through an appointment system. ●People were supported to access particular communal areas in their 'bubbles' at specified times during the day, in order to reduce the risk of the spread of infection. ●Families had been supported to keep in touch with their loved ones in a variety of ways including window visits, video and phone calls. Information had been shared with families outlining plans to carry out visits in line with the latest Government guidance. ●All staff had a role in maintaining cleanliness in the home and in recognition of these additional responsibilities, staffing levels had been increased. ●Positive relationships were in place with local GPs and healthcare professionals who provided additional support and guidance where required.
