What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 19 February 2025 (assessment visit 11 December 2024). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Date of assessment 8 January to 14 January 2025. The service is a care home. It specialises in the care of older people. At the time of the inspection 25 people were living at the home. At the last inspection we found 4 breaches of regulation. These were in relation to safe care and treatment, staffing, safeguarding people from abuse and good governance. At this inspection we found improvements had been made and the service was no longer in breach of regulations. However, we found further improvements were needed to make sure everyone’s records were up to date and gave staff clear guidance to enable them to provide good quality care. Quality monitoring systems were now improved but needed further development to make sure they always led to improvements where needed. People had their needs assessed when they moved to the home to make sure it was the right place for them. Some improvements were needed to make sure reviews of assessments reflected people’s current needs. The provider took action to address these issues. Staff knew people well and respected them as individuals. Staff now received training and supervision to make sure they supported people in accordance with up-to-date good practice guidance and legislation. Medicines were safely managed. All areas of the home were well maintained, clean and fresh. Staff felt well supported and were kind and compassionate. Visitors were always welcome at the home. The registered manager and provider were friendly and approachable. They were visible in the home which led to an open culture where people and staff felt able to raise concerns
