The provider was previously in breach of 3 regulations regarding safe care and treatment, governance and not notifying CQC of all relevant incidents. Whilst some improvements were noted, and we were notified of incidents appropriately, the provider was still in breach of regulations pertaining to safety and governance.
Systems and processes were not always effective in identifying and driving consistent improvement. The provider had not ensured actions identified through previous inspections were completed and embedded into practice. Records were not always accurate and complete. Risks to people had not always been identified or assessed.
We received positive feedback about the care people received. Staff were positive about the support they received from the registered manager, who was visible within the service. Staff understood their safeguarding responsibilities and were confident actions would be taken if they observed any poor practice. The registered manager and staff team shared information with health professionals to improve the care people received. One professional told us, "The registered manager's communication with us is really good and they are seeking support." Visitors were welcomed to the service and people regularly engaged in activities tailored to their interests.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
