What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 23 August 2024 (assessment visit 29 May 2024). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Date of assessment 13 to 28 June 2024. Sophia Care is a care home providing care to people with a learning disability and autistic people. The home can accommodate up to 7 people in one building. At the time of our inspection 7 people were living at the home. We did not assess all quality statements at this inspection. For those areas we did not assess, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating. We did not identify breaches of any Regulations during this assessment. We will continue to monitor information we receive about the service, which will help inform when we next assess them.

Following this assessment the service continues to be rated good. This was because people received care that was safe and met their needs. The provider had effective systems to ensure staff were safely recruited, people were protected from harm and abuse. People were supported by staff who understood best practice in relation to the wide range of strengths, impairments, or sensitivities people with a learning disability and/or autistic people may have. This helped to ensure people received compassionate and empowering care that was tailored to their needs. Staff placed people’s wishes, needs, and rights at the heart of everything they did.
