The Avenue Community Nursing Home is a care home providing personal and nursing care for up to 13 adults in one large, adapted house. The home provides care and support to people living with mental health conditions. At the time of inspection the service was supporting 13 people.

We found the following examples of good practice.
• The premises were clean and tidy, and regular cleaning was taking place.
• Visitors were screened to reduce the risk of them spreading infection.
• Plentiful supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE) were in place and staff used this correctly.
• Regular COVID-19 testing was taking place.
