What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 28 March 2025 (assessment visit 5 February 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Date of Assessment: 6 February 2025 to 26 February 2025. This assessment was carried out in response to previous enforcement action taken by CQC. The service is a nursing home providing accommodation and nursing and personal care to older people, adults of all ages living with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and those living with dementia. People were safeguarded from abuse and had risks to their safety managed by suitably recruited and trained staff. Medicines were administered safely and where incidents occurred learning was applied. Assessments were carried out using evidence-based tools to provide people with effective care and support. People ‘s consent was sought and they were supported to maintain their health and wellbeing, with staff working together with others to improve people’s quality of life. Staff treated people as individuals offering choice and supporting independence in a kind and caring manner. Peoples protected characteristics were considered and staff understood individual preferences and listened to people. Plans for the future were discussed with people and appropriate information was shared. Staff felt well supported and engaged in the service with learning opportunities shared with staff. Governance systems were in place to drive improvements, and the provider ensured people and staff were treated equitably. The provider worked in partnership with other agencies to deliver people’s care. At the last inspection there were breaches of regulations relating to safe care, consent, dignity and governance, at this inspection the provider had made the require improvements and was no longer in breach of regulations. However, the provider had not consistently acted swiftly to address concerns with the building’s fire safety, but steps to reduce the risks had been taken.
