People were provided with safe care and treatment. Risks to people were identified and monitored and staff knew what action to take to mitigate risks to people. People’s care plans contained up to date information. However, the recording of people’s daily care and support needed some improving as it did not always evidence care which had been delivered as per people’s care plans.

Processes to analyse safety events were reliable and timely meaning action was taken to prevent further occurrences.

Medicines were managed safely. For people who were prescribed as and when medicines, protocols to manage these medicines were person centred.

Governance systems and processes were in place to help monitor and act on any identified shortfalls in the quality and safety of care and support.

There were a wide range of meaningful activities for people which had a positive impact on their well-being. People were able to suggest and choose what activities they wanted to do, and staff would support that person to make that happen.
