What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 10 June 2026 (assessment visit 2 April 2026). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

This unannounced assessment was carried out onsite on 28 April and 1 May 2026 by an adult social care inspector, a medicines inspector and an Expert by Experience. The inspection was undertaken because, at the last assessment, the provider was found to be in breach of regulations relating to safe care and treatment, safe staffing and governance, and this assessment was completed to provide assurance that the required improvements had been made and sustained. At this assessment, we found that the provider was no longer in breach of these regulations.

Aria Court is a residential, nursing and dementia care home. The assessment considered whether the service was safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.

People received kind, personalised and responsive care. Staff knew people well and adapted care to reflect individual needs, preferences and life history. There was strong evidence of meaningful engagement and activities that supported people’s wellbeing, independence and sense of identity.

The service had systems in place to assess needs, manage risks and respond to changes in people’s health. Staff worked with health and social care professionals to support people with long‑term conditions, deterioration and complex needs. People were supported to access healthcare services and referrals to external professionals were made appropriately.

Improvements had been made to governance oversight, leadership assurance, incident review, staffing arrangements and quality monitoring systems, providing assurance that action had been taken and sustained.
