The last rating for this service (published 28 October 2023) was requires improvement and identified breaches of regulation in relation to people safe care and treatment and governance systems. At this inspection we found improvements had been made and the provider was no longer in breach of regulations.

Risks to people safety and well-being were managed well as staff had a good awareness of people’s needs. Where records showed risk management plans had not been fully updated these were rectified immediately by the registered manager. Accidents and incidents were reviewed regularly and action taken to minimise risks going forward. This had led to a reduction in the number of falls and skin injuries people experienced. The property was clean, well-maintained and good infection prevention and control measures were in place to keep people safe.

Staff received training in all areas of their role and had regular supervision to support their work and development. Care records contained detailed guidance regarding how to provide people’s care safely and in line with their preferences. Staff told us they felt supported and valued in their roles.

The registered manager had a range of quality assurance and audit processes in place to monitor the service people received. They worked collaboratively with health and social care partners to ensure good outcomes for people. Where concerns were identified these were addressed promptly and action plans developed to monitor any progress going forward.
