We inspected the service due to their aged rating. At the last inspection, the provider was found to be in breach of legal regulations in relation to safe care and treatment and the safe management of medicines. At this inspection, we found the provider had made improvements and were no longer in breach of regulation.
People received individualised, person-centred care from a stable and experienced workforce who knew people well. People’s independence was promoted, and staff responded promptly when their health or wellbeing changed.
Staff and the leadership demonstrated a caring, compassionate approach to people and their care, and worked well with partners to coordinate safe, continued care. Care was well coordinated, medicines and infection risks were managed safely, and people were involved in decisions about their care.
Leaders were experienced, approachable and supported by trustees, with regular audits, feedback systems and partnership working contributing to ongoing improvement.
However, minor improvements were needed to ensure risk management guidance was consistently recorded and governance systems. The provider acted promptly, with openness and honesty when we raised this to them.
