The provider had developed care plans for each person, but these did not always contain information on the support the person required, and they would like that care provided.
Our assessment was undertaken on 7 May 2024, and we gave the provider a short period of notice of the assessment to ensure someone was in the office. Following the assessment, we contacted a friend of one of the people receiving support for feedback. We received written feedback from 3 care workers following the assessment.
During the assessment we reviewed the care plans and risk assessments of the 3 people receiving support and other documents related to the provision of care and the running of the service.

Safe
No rating
The provider had a process for the reporting and investigation of safeguarding concerns, incidents and accidents and complaints. At the time of the assessment, care workers were not supporting people with their medicines. There was a robust recruitment process in place. Care workers had access to personal protective equipment and wore it when providing care.
However, we found a breach of regulation in relation to safe care and treatment. The risk assessments developed for people did not always contain enough information for care workers on how to reduce possible risks.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to our concerns.

Well-led
No rating
Staff felt supported by the provider and were able to raise any questions or concerns they may have.
However, we found a breach of the legal regulation in relation to good governance. The provider did not always ensure care plans contained information on the care a person required and identified their wishes as to how it should be provided. The risk assessment contained information which did not always relate to the person. The provider’s quality assurance processes for reviewing care plans and risk assessments, did not enable them to identify where information was not provided or was not accurate.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to our concerns.
