What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 17 March 2025 (assessment visit 3 February 2025). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Dates of assessment were from 12 to 26 February 2025, and we visited the site on 18 February 2025. This is the first inspection of this newly registered service. Carelytical home care is a domiciliary care service that provides care and support for people in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of the inspection the service was supporting 12 people with personal care. The service had a robust pre-assessment system in place and safe recruitment processes for staff. Training and supervisions were completed regularly, and staff felt the registered manager was supportive and knowledgeable. Care plans were in place for all service users, but they were not always robust or sufficiently detailed. We found people did not have risk assessments to guide staff on how to manage or mitigate risks to people, such as mobility issues. However, the registered manager took immediate action to implement these, which were reviewed and of good detail. Overall, governance systems and processes were not robust or implemented effectively. Therefore, improvement was required to ensure good oversight of the service.
