What inspectors found

From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 18 November 2024 (assessment visit 17 October 2024). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.

Date of Assessment 23 to 28 October 2024. Altogether Care - Care At Home Limited Wareham is a care at home agency that provides personal care to people living in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people are receiving the regulated activity personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we consider any wider social care provided. At the time of this inspection 117 people were receiving support with personal care. The provider and registered manager were exceptional at ensuring reasonable adjustments were made to enable staff to do their jobs well. All staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. People with protected characteristics felt supported. The service always cared about and promoted the wellbeing of their staff and was exceptional at supporting and enabling staff to always deliver person-centred care. Staff treated people with exceptional kindness and compassion. They treated people as individuals and were exceptional in how they made sure people’s care, support and treatment met people’s needs and preferences. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff told us, “I am proud to work here because we all go above and beyond for our clients. We are really supported by managers who care, you can see it runs throughout the company and to the people we support.” An assessment has been undertaken of a specialist service that is registered for use by autistic people or people with a learning disability. At the time of the assessment, the service was not used by anyone with a learning disability or an autistic person. However, we assessed the care provision under Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture, as it is registered as a specialist service for this population group.
