What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 20 October 2026 (assessment visit 6 August 2026). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Date of assessment 15 to 18 September 2026.
Domiciliary Care Services (UK) Limited is a domiciliary care agency that provides care to older people, people living with dementia, mental health needs, physical disability and sensory impairment within their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is to help with tasks relating to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our inspection 30 people received support with personal care.

The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation in safe care and treatment. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of this regulation. Care records now included guidance on how to support people at risk of falls. Equally, risk assessments had been put in place for people who were at risk of excessive bleeding should they sustain an injury, where they had been prescribed medicine to thin their blood and prevent clots.
The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation to good governance. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of this regulation. Quality monitoring of the service had improved following the implementation of an electronic monitoring system, which meant the registered manager had access to live information on the delivery of people’s care that enabled them to monitor quality and safety. However, we identified areas for further improvement in the recording of the care staff provided, to strengthen and support quality monitoring, and better evidence good outcomes for people.
People’s views and that of their family members were sought through annual surveys and used to shape and improve the service.
Systems and processes, underpinned by policies and procedures enabled the registered manager and management team to maintain a clear overview of the service being delivered.
The provider had an assessment process, which involved people, and where appropriate their family members. People’s expectations of their care were fully considered as part of the assessment process, with consideration to protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act.
People’s needs were met by a consistent team of staff who had undergone a safe recruitment process. Staff were able to communicate in people’s preferred language and had firsthand knowledge and understanding of their cultural and religious needs.
People’s care records provided an account of their care and support needs, including their prescribed medicine, which was managed safely by staff, where required. People’s needs were regularly reviewed with their involvement. Staff liaised with health care professionals to promote people’s health and wellbeing, where required.
Staff had the necessary training to support people’s individual needs and received regular support through supervision and meetings. Staff spoke positively of the support they received from the registered manager and of the training that enabled them to meet the individual needs of people.
