What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 23 October 2026 (assessment visit 11 September 2026). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Date of assessment: 11 September 2026 to 28 September 2026
Aark Health Limited provides care and support to people living in their own homes. Not everyone using Aark Health Limited received a CQC regulated activity; CQC only inspects when the service being received by people is within the definition of the regulated activity of ‘personal care’; such as help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where we do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of the assessment, the service was supporting 8 people with personal care.

This assessment was carried out with a site visit to the office location on 14 September 2026.
Systems were in place to ensure people were safe when receiving care and support. Not all risk assessments were robust. The service recruited staff safely and pre-employment checks were completed. The service established systems to prevent the spread of infections. Staff had been trained to perform their roles effectively and systems were in place for staff to attend calls on time. Staff received regular supervisions and were supported by the management team. Protocols were not in place for medicines to be administered when needed such as paracetamols to ensure it was administered in a safe way.
People’s needs were assessed and they were involved in decisions about their care. Consent was sought from people prior to receiving care and support. Not all care plans were personalised to ensure people received person centred care consistently.
Staff were kind and caring towards people and had a positive relationship with them. Staff respected people’s privacy and dignity and encouraged people to be independent where possible.
Quality assurance systems provided oversight of the service. Leaders sought regular feedback from staff, people, and their relatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
