This was the first announced assessment of this domiciliary care service which carried out to review the quality of care and the service’s compliance with legal requirements.
People received care that was safe, effective and personalised to their assessed needs. There were enough staff to meet people’s needs, and people were supported by a consistent staff team. People were complimentary about staff, and confident in their abilities. Care plans were comprehensive, person-centred, and reviewed regularly to ensure people’s needs were constantly met.
The service was well led with a team who promoted a clear direction focused on person-centred care and fostered an open and transparent culture focusing on continuous learning and development. Governance systems were established and provided oversight of quality, risk and performance. Staff had been recruited safely with all pre-employment checks completed prior to starting work. Staff were well supported in their role, receiving regular support, supervision and training. Staff told us they felt they were valued and able to raise concerns with management.
