We started the assessment on 7 July 2026, attending the office and visiting the service. We visited the service again on 17 July 2026 to gather feedback from people, reviewed evidence off site, gathered feedback from relatives and external professionals, and had follow up contact, and concluded the assessment on 24 July 2026. We conducted this assessment due to an aged rating.

We assessed the service against our ‘Right care, right culture, right support’ guidance, to make judgments about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people, respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. We found the provider was supporting people in line with this guidance.

We found the provider had capable and compassionate leaders and staff, who always showed kindness, respect and protected people’s dignity.

The provider had robust systems and processes in place to ensure they had adequate oversight of the service, and in addition, leaders were regularly present at the service which provided additional opportunities to maintain high levels of oversight.

The provider focused on quality assurances, service improvement, and supporting people to achieve their desired goals and expected outcomes.

We found the provider had good working relationships with external agencies and maintained a positive and functional team internally.

There was room for improvement to ensure that all incidents and accidents were reported to all relevant agencies, as well as adopting more of a structured approach with external agencies to maintain oversight of delegated health care tasks they had agreed to provide.

Staff felt their wellbeing was valued and they felt supported by leaders. They were involved in wider aspects of the service not just delivering day to day care. Staff were knowledgeable about their roles and responsibilities.
