Aspirations Support is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care and support to people living in their own homes. People who use the service have a learning disability and/or a mental health need. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it. The assessment commenced on 25 January 2024 and completed on 27 February 2024. The assessment took place remotely by an assessor and included a meeting with the service director and registered manager on 27 February 2024. We looked at 7 quality statements; Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Assessing Needs; Consent to Care and Treatment; Independence, choice and control and Equity in experiences and outcomes. Good

Staff had a good understanding of the providers consent policy and the importance of respecting people’s choice and preferences and asked for their consent when offering support.
-
Caring
Good
People were provided with support from a caring service, they were treated with dignity and respect. People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.
