Key findings
We carried out this assessment on 2 September 2026. This service was previously rated as good. We carried out this assessment to confirm whether the rating of good remains accurate. This report does not provide detailed information on areas where we found practice continues to meet a good standard. Instead, our findings focus on any areas where the service needs to improve or where we found exceptional practice.
People received safe, person-centred care from staff who knew them well and understood their individual needs and preferences.
There were suitably trained staff to provide care safely. Staff received training, supervision and support to carry out their roles effectively. Risks to people's health, safety and wellbeing were assessed, managed and regularly reviewed.
Staff spoke positively about the support they received. One staff member said, "We always have opportunity to develop. The training courses have been excellent and the management is very good." Another staff member told us, "Management are really supportive, and we can always ask for help when needed."
People were supported to maintain their independence and make choices about their daily lives. Care plans reflected people's preferences and identified what was important to them. Staff encouraged people to remain as independent as possible within their own homes.
A staff member told us, "It's independent living, it's respecting their decision and remain independent and make sure we listen to what they want." Another staff member explained, "You ask, you let them make a choice but assisting them at the same time."
Medicines were managed safely, and there were effective systems in place to monitor the quality and safety of the service. Staff understood their safeguarding responsibilities and knew how to recognise and report concerns.
The provider had effective governance and quality assurance systems in place to monitor the service and drive continuous improvement. Feedback from people using the service was sought and acted upon to improve outcomes and experiences.
The service promoted equality, diversity and human rights. People were supported in a way that respected their privacy, dignity, choices and individual circumstances. Staff demonstrated a caring and compassionate approach, enabling people to remain living independently in their own homes and maintain their wellbeing.
