What inspectors found
From the Care Quality Commission's assessment published 1 May 2026 (assessment visit 9 January 2026). Quoted under the Open Government Licence.
Date of assessment: 19 January to 10 February 2026. We completed site visits on 19 January and 21 January 2026. Bilney Hall is a residential care home providing accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care. The service is registered for 64 people and provides support to older people, some of whom may be living with dementia. At the time of the assessment, there were 62 people living at the service. The service was last inspected in December 2019 and was rated Good. We carried out this assessment due to the age rating of the service. The registered manager promoted an open and inclusive workplace. Staff felt supported and valued within their roles. Staff knew people well, care was delivered with compassion and respects for each person’s dignity. We observed the dining experience to be positive, the service used show plates and food appeared appetising. One person said, “I like the food, it’s very good.” People were supported to attend medical appointments in the community.
