The provider had systems in place to help keep people safe and protect them from avoidable harm. Staff understood people's needs well and worked with healthcare professionals and families to support people's health, wellbeing and independence.

People were treated with kindness, dignity and respect and were supported to make choices about their care and daily lives. Care was personalised and adapted to reflect people's individual needs, preferences and life experiences.

Staff spoke positively about the culture within the home and described managers as approachable and supportive. The new registered manager demonstrated a good understanding of the service, responding positively to feedback and taking action where improvements were required. Although we identified some areas where further improvements could be made, including aspects of the environment, documentation and oversight processes, these were recognised by the management team and did not have a significant impact on people's overall experience of care. Overall, people received safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care.
