We found the following examples of good practice.
● At the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic two staff members stayed in the home for four days to minimise the transmission of infection. ● Visitors to the home were restricted to family and essential personnel. Family members were not currently visiting the home as they themselves were shielding, the home utilised technology so people could maintain contact with family members. ● Some people experienced anxieties as they were not able to participate in social activities they previously enjoyed due to the pandemic. Due to libraries remaining closed the registered manager arranged for books to be delivered in boxes. ● The provider had implemented support for staff who had experienced anxieties or concerns during COVID19 through an internal employee wellbeing programme. ● The management team had used the time to develop an initiative to fulfil each persons individual wish. This supported people's well being. Once safe to do so, one person was to go on a flight in a private aeroplane.
