The service had effective systems in place to protect people from avoidable harm and manage risk well. Staff understood safeguarding procedures and acted appropriately to prevent neglect, discrimination and abuse. Risk assessments were person‑centred and regularly reviewed. People were supported to follow specialist diets, engage in appropriate exercise, and manage long‑term conditions appropriately.
The culture of the service was caring, inclusive and person‑centred. Staff treated people as individuals, recognising their preferences, identities and backgrounds. People were supported to make choices about their daily lives and maintain independence wherever possible. There were opportunities for people, relatives and staff to provide feedback through meetings and other channels.
