We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.

At our last inspection we found a breach of the legal regulations in relation to governance in the service. At this inspection we found improvements had been made and the provider was no longer in breach of the legal regulations. Now medicines were managed safely. Records were up to date and reflected people’s needs. The environment and infection prevention control practices (IPC) were now safe. Governance systems had been strengthened and identified areas for improvement.

People were supported by staff who knew them well and responded promptly to their needs, promoting independence, choice and wellbeing. Care was person‑centred and took account of people’s preferences, abilities and circumstances. Leaders promoted an open, inclusive and supportive culture and worked positively with people, staff, relatives and external professionals. As a result, people experienced joined‑up care, positive outcomes and a good quality of life.
